OMS CA Externships

Hey,

Anybody have exerperience with California OMS externships during Dental school? I am looking at USC and UCSF. Any other recommendations?

If you did go, what were the programs like, did you get experience or just watch? How long, where did you stay and all of those questions addressed would be greatly appreciated!

I externed at Loma Linda. I went before I started in the clinic so I didn't know much but they still let me ext in the clinic at Riverside. That's pretty much it. They said they get a lot more cases than UCLA or USC but I havn't seen any numbers so I wouldn't know. The program director is a guy from Parkland and I got the impression that he's trying to make a name for the program. I'm applying there if that means anything.
