Oms (cbse) specialty exam

Hey guys, I am currently a 2nd year at Tufts Dental and am ultimately looking to pursue a career in Pedo or Ortho. There was an exam that was introduced to us that all the Oral surgeons have to take (OMS exam) to get into a specialty. I think its full name is NBME Comprehensive Basic Sciences Examination (CBSE). Now they are saying that all the specialties might be looking into this exam and may require it for admission into their program. Does anyone know any details on this exam and if it is an absolute must to take it for Pedo or Ortho?

highly doubtful that peds or ortho will make you take the exam.
