Hey everyone,

I’m Rosh — I’m currently a PGY1 Pediatric resident and one of the co-founders of a new initiative called Pulse.

Over the past few years, I’ve come to realize just how much of this path in medicine — from premed through residency — can feel isolating. It’s easy to fall into the mindset that you have to figure it all out alone, especially when the path feels competitive and structured around checking boxes.

But the moments that made the biggest difference for me? They weren’t the perfect grades or the test scores — they were the mentors who believed in me when I didn’t, the peers who walked alongside me, and the conversations that made me feel like I belonged here.

That’s the heartbeat of what we’re trying to build at Pulse: a space that centres community and meaningful mentorship, not just resume-building.

I just wanted to introduce myself, hear your thoughts, and start a conversation around how we can better support each other in this field. If you’ve had a moment of mentorship or community that changed your path, I’d love to hear it.
