...An interview invite from PENN STATE! WOW- It was a thin envelope and I thought "WTF, they're rejecting me on Christmas Eve?!" I was "Continue to Review'd" way back on 8/31, but sent the update letter last week. I'm an April MCATer and this will be my first interview!

Seriously though, I just want to give support to anyone who has family members in the armed forces overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, Serbia, or Korea this holiday season- Hopefully we will all be home together soon. My Christmas wish. Thank you for the sacrifice your family is making.

Hehe, when I got my Penn State envelope my family was there and I told them all that it was a rejection because the envelope was thin. About a month later I was in Hershey Pennsylvania being handed chocolate by strangers.

A waitlist from UChicago.

Really cruel to send me the bad news on the day before Christmas. I actually cried for the first time in years, but that's okay. It was hard because it was one of my top choices.

Alas, like I've been saying before, there are other schools - hopefully, i'll get in somewhere else that I fit in more.

Honestly, from the heart- You guys and gals on here have been great- I thought I dint have a chance this year (like my undergrad premed advisor advised) but so many said to "don't lose hope", and "keep your chin up!" It does feel good- thank you for all your advice and funny comments- I hope you all receive your Christmas wishes!

Not crying, just disappointed as this is my 6th waitlist out of 6 interviews so far and I'm a reapplicant. Congrats on the interview though, that's great. Be sure to make the most of it.
