DrBorisCA said:Do they reject at this point too or just at the end? Wish I didnt have to wait again, but I guess Im still in the game...
ShyRem said:I'm OOS and in the 'hold' pile post-interview, too. Been there since the beginning of October. I hear few OOS get accepted early, but the OOS waitlist moves MUCH quicker than the in-state list. Hope we won't have to wait that long, tho.

So am I to assume that if we are "on hold" we have a score lower than 2.5? If so, that is great news. Dr. H said that last year, they accepted up to the 2.3's. COME ON BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!jon0013 said:they do reject if your interview score was higher than 2.5....im guessing you interviewed in january right....

Nas23 said:Anyone know how they calculate their score? Is it a formula that includes interview, gpa, mcat, etc?
). At the end, they throw out the highest and lowest scores, then sum them, then average them. That is your composite score, which determines your fate (accept, reject, and movement along the waitlist).Apparition said:I believe they cut at 3.5 post-interview, unfortunately. Can someone confirm this?
ShyRem said:Dr. H told my group at the interview that those 3.5-5.0 are outright rejected post-interview. All others are on 'hold' until 3/15, when they look at the list. Then they make another 'waitlist' vs. 'rejected' cut, usually at about 2.5-2.8, depending on the list.

Orth2006 said:It seems they should just reject above 2.8 post-interview if they are gonna use that as the cuttoff in March anyway. WHy make the applicants wait till march only to be rejected. I dont remember if she mentioned what the cutoff was in MArch when I interviewd. But I remmeber her saying above 3.5 post interview got rejected.
Dr. H told me that they did not get above the 2.3's last year. If that helps. 😳 Damn this sucks. I hope someone from the adcom is reading this and will give us input. HELLO.....End our misery. Please. 👍ShyRem said:I could be misremembering - this *was* in September. Perhaps it was those between 1 and 2.5-2.8 have a shot at getting off the waitlist and others don't? But I DO know that folks from 3.5-5 get rejected post-interview.
Hey, it was a long time ago.. I've been sittin' on hold THAT long!!! 😉
