Do most of you stay at your dorm in dental school or live at home in an apartment or house and commute to school? Are there any advantages to staying at school?

Tons of the students at UNC live in the married housing (obviously that wouldn't work for everyone) on campus. Nice, close, and relatively cheap. Proximity has its advantages, but so does being away when you want a break.

I'm starting at UOP in July and the student housing is looking pretty nice. Parking is not very accessible around UOP (San Francisco), so you want to live as close as possible. Also, there is a wet lab in the apartments which means you can work on lab projects within walking distance of your fridge. The apartments are owned by the dental school, so no loud parties on nights when you are studying, which is every day ending in a "y". Your school might be different, ask the people here what they think and tell them which schools your applying to. Good luck!
