So I like to think that I'm a big, tough guy who isn't afraid of anything...but for some reason I pass out and break into a sweat (in that order) ~20 seconds after receiving an oral injection or having blood drawn.
The weird part is that I'm not even aware of it until after it happens; I don't consciously FEEL afraid of needles. However, I am starting to develop a complex about passing out.
Has anyone else here had this problem? What's going to happen when we practice injections on each other? Can administering an injection elicit the same psychological/physiological response as receiving one? Is it something I just have to get over with repeated exposure?
