so, i'm pretty much done with secondaries but still haven't decided for sure whether or not to apply to lecom-pa. i've decided that pbl could be a good way to learn, so that's a plus, and the fact that i could do my rotations in pittsburgh is another big positive. however, the school and the town seem nuts. i read on another thread that the faculty at lecom were discussing how the owners meet the diagnostic criteria for narcissism almost exactly, and i've seen those pictures of the crazy plaques. also, erie -- don't know if i could deal with that much snow and still have the dh/job issues. i understand erie is very economically depressed. however, on the upside, the tuition is really low, and the cost of living is low.

anyway, any input?

I'd say with your stats, not to bother applying anywhere you don't really want to go, especially if you are applying mostly DO as your MDapp profile says. Everything about you screams "ACCEPT ME!!!!" and I think most places you apply will. Assuming you don't flub up the interviews...

In short, if it doesn't stand out as being an excellent option for you, don't bother, because I think you will get in at someplace that fits you better...

not a huge fan of the school. did post-bac there and decided not even to apply. administration is unorganized and just odd. most of the professors are great, but the school itself is very military like and just not for me.

best of luck!

What about FL campus? All the good and very little of the bad.

I say the same. I don't think you'll need to apply here. You'll have plenty of other acceptances.
