I am wondering the same... oh I hope not.. 🙁 well.. some schools request the final transcript after acceptance.. rite?

senioritis anyone?😛

Personally, I'm going to try to do as well as I can. I want to graduate summa cum laude, so I'm not going to tank it after I get accepted.

This may be a dumb question but what are the requirements to graduate summa cum laude? I havent gotten into this college stuff all that much. I just go to class and do my work and go home.

I actually don't know if it's the same everywhere, but it's 3.8 at ASU.

Is it okay if you had to W/d from a class or if you failed a class and retook?

lol, ditto.. you have to be in the top 2% of the graduating class GPA-wise here! Ah well, just top 10% for regular "cum laude" 😀

What does it take to be magna?

At my university 3.5-3.74 is cum laude. Magna is 3.75-3.89. Summa is 3.9-4.0

Been there, done that... nothing special, just a distinction on your degree.

I think you should try to at least get C's so you don't look like you just let yourself go following acceptance.

Straight Cs would look bad. At least try to get straight Bs, 2quik.

Depends on the school, whether they have "conditions". I know Canadian schools expect candidates to maintain a 3.0 or else they rescind your offer of admission.

I am taking english and wondering what I should get at least...
a C WOULD be enough?

You should really think about the long haul. I was a three sport varsity athlete in high school (and played club hockey). I never studied, and rarely did homework when I was accepted to Purdue, graduated with a 3.6. I did enough just to get by. Turns out, my entire senior year was a blast, but I was rudely awakened when I came to undergrad.

I really that if you are in fact accepted, you should take it pretty seriously. Dental school is much worse than undergrad and you want to be prepared. Take advantage of your education and do the best you can. You can certainly do it without nearly as much stress, but go to class, study, learn, and party on the weekends. I'm not saying don't have fun, because it's basically your last chance. But don't try and skim by knowing that you'll have dental school. Who knows, you just might be better prepared when you get there.

just maintain a B/C avg. should be easy. and party it up. that chance will be rare in dent school. and all these people are saying u wont be prepared etc etc. a very short vacation wont do much, if any, dmg.
