By my junior year I had a 3.98 GPA because I had only gotten a single A-. However, at the time I was an accounting major with no intent to go into medical school. I decided to switch to pre-med in my junior year by taking a chemistry course that Fall semester. I got an A in Gen. CHM I, but in that same semester I ended up dropping a class with a W, getting a C, and getting a B. Since then, I'm back on track and haven't gotten any more Cs or Ws, but I'm still getting 1-2 Bs each semester.
Still, I'm worried medical schools will look at my transcript and say, "Wow, this kid got Straight A's before the semester he took General Chemistry where his GPA crashed. Those business classes he was taking must have been brain-dead easy." Because of this, I was considering doing a Master's program despite the fact that I already have a 3.8 GPA. Would a Master's be worthwhile, or would it just be a waste of time and money?
