One low science score but otherwise pleased. Do you think I can make a case for the outlier?

I took the DAT today for the second time and am generally pleased with my scores. However, I did not complete OC and it is the one section that is only slightly above average. I wouldn't be too worried if I scored on the lower side in QR or PAT, but how do you think adcoms will interpret a science section score on the lower side? I ran out of time on OC, which is why my score is much lower than it should have been. Given that I scored well on OC on my first take, OC is the last topic of TS and therefore many people probably run out of time/rush through it, and that my other two science sections were pretty good, do you think adcoms are likely to cut me a little slack with an OC score of 18? Let me know what you think; and yes, I realize these are pretty neurotic questions and that the question is subjective/difficult to answer. Regardless, I appreciate your input.

I'd say you are fine. As long as it is above 17, I think it is safe.

Great job! Increasing scores even by a few points is a huge achievement and will definitely help on your application! I would definitely apply and I know several students who got in with 18's and 19's! Best of luck! 🙂))
