Got one rejection e-mail with the subject headed as 'interview'! And then the usual crap of ''due to large number of qualified candidates etc...''!! The PD either needs some English lessons to make him/her understand what e-mail subject header is for; or he/she is a downright sadist!! Down with barbarism!!

It's not mean, but a misunderstanding. You are the one who falsely assumed "interview" meant "interview invitation" rather than "interview rejection".

Your anxiety reflects negatively on you and shows during interviews. You need to chill out.

Seriously eye4eye, this is not a forum for you to whine about your issues with the interview process. Enough with the negativity and useless self-serving threads...let's stick with productive posting that is actually helpful or encouraging for the rest of the ophtho applicant pool.

Not too pile on....but seriously eye4eye...before you start your ophtho residency...please seek some help...for the sake of your co-residents, attendings, patients....you are probably just goin to blow all this off as people "picking on you" but seriously mature up...fast

I am with you eye4eye. I think it is a stupid way to introduce you to your interview rejection. It my mind it that program lacks class, but I am sure you have other options so just relax.

It reminds me of a rejection I received - those of us who received it could see all 400 other people who were rejected for that particular program. Weak performance on the part of the program secretary (but a nice way to collect email addresses).

In my mind little mistakes like this show weaknesses of programs. If the secretary or program director does not know how to send an email, how is he/she going to handle your credentialing process? How is the program director going to handle the letter of recommendation request in the future? In general avoid programs that do stupid things like this.

Eyeguy15,
Jealousy is a mean thing (even 'badder' than eye 4 an eye)! You need help with multiple ID management! By the way, have you started cancelling your interviews at BPEI, MEEI and the likes?

Thanks for replying guys. It was irritating, that's all! Good luck all. 200UL, thanks for agreeing mate!
'Mr. multiple IDs formed in Oct 2010 guy' don't bother to reply please! As a favour!? you better concentrate on more important stuff like which interviews you are going to cancel, BPEI, Wilmer or MEEI?
