hey guys i just finished my kaplan live online class today and still have access to all their resources like the online quizzes, workshops, flashcards and other stuff. I have saved up some money from work and was wondering what you guys think i can buy such as chads videos or something. That will help me the most as far as studying for the DAT 35 days from now.

Doing all the Chad videos in one month might be tough. Those videos take a lot of time but its a very good study aid. I strongly recommend it.

Other than Chad, you can get Destroyer and Math Destroyer. Work on those problems. For biology, read your Kaplan front + back and pray.

I'm ordering Chads videos and cliffsap bio tomorrow. Is it worth getting crack the DAT PAT or should i get the DAT destroyer basic package or the bundle with Math destroyer?

For PAT, CDP is the best. But its very expensive tho....🙁

I definitely recommend purchasing Chad's video and take a detailed-hand

note. It will take you about 1-2 weeks. Then you can rewatch the video

one more time but this time do fast play.

Also datQvault is good material for the bio section. The price is almost the

same as the Chad's video so I highly recommend purchasing that.

Destroyer is good for OC and GC but since its too expensive, I would just

stick with chad's quizzes

As was mentioned, Destroyer is good, but expensive. The ACS makes review books for both general chem and organic chem. I hear they are good, and they are MUCH cheaper, though the answers don't have explanations. That might be something worth looking into as well.

well... you gotta play it smart. You have only 1 month to cover and IMO, you should spend your resources on material that your weak on.

For example, maybe Kaplan was enough to review the GC and Orgo concepts, and if thats the case, you don't need chads, just dive into DAT destroyer.

If your PAT skills are good as is, you don't need CDP. Get your hands on some topscore exams and see how you do on the CDP. If your already scoring 20+ here, you don't need CDP.

I would however, encourage you to get Cliff's AP Bio and read it multipe times before your DAT. Its a good Bio resource and only $10 from amazon.

As far as math goes, I dunno how Kaplan's stuffs is, but I think MATH destroyer book is perfect IF YOU SPEND THE TIME doing the tests. If your gonna buy it and only do a few tests here and there (like I've seen many SDN'er ~ including myself), then don't waste your money. MATH destroyer requires alot of time and patience (there are over 450+ problems, and if your weak on math, you'll need to go through them multiple times)

yeah i purchased the chads videos and theyre great. Im very solid in my organic chem bc i had a very good teacher but tough teacher this year during the school year. I got the cliffs apbio book too. Im studying roughly 8 hrs a day broken into 4 two hour sessions. Just a quick question does it cost money to push back my DAT date and if i take it in august will it affect the interview process. Also if i order the DAT destroyer tomm do u think it will be enough time to use b4 the test?

IMO, you should get DAT destroyer. For the Math, you should either practice with math destroyer or Crack the DAT Math (10 test). You can't go wrong with either one.

I chose CDP Math because it helped me with my timing by doing questions on the computer.

dat destroyer is 217 dollarss with shipping is it really worth it if I have the whole kaplan course and chads materials?? And if i change my DAT test date will they charge me and will it affect my interview

To be honest, I think DAT Destroyer is a bit overrated. Yes, it's a good resource but it's kinda like the extra mile. If you are able to do well on your Kaplan subject tests, topscore, and chad's quizzes, you should be able to expect competitive scores. Math Destroyer is definitely something you might wanna invest in if you wanna be above average in QR.

👍 Other than reading CliffsAP Bio...all I've been doing is watching Chad's videos. It DOES take about 4 weeks total to watch and take good notes(maybe 3 weeks total if all you're doing is Chad's videos).

I highly recommend you do what Wizi has said. Get MATH Destroyer for sure...some of the questions are supposed to be eerily identical to the real questions on the DAT.

ok well turns out im just going to get both the DAT destroyer and CDP as a early bday gift since my birthdays in august and i just want to do good on the test. As far as studying goes do you guys think i should try do chads first then kaplan then cliffs ap for like 2-3 weeks of learning with some CDP tests and finishing off the last couple of weeks with the destroyer and kaplan practice tests?

Isnt there QR section in DAT destroyer already? Is MATH destroyer necessary if I do all of the QR problems in DAT destroyer?

if you man up, and i mean MAN UP, you can do chads gen chem + orgo videos + meticulous notes for both in 1.5 weeks tops. and destroyer is a must if you want to rock the DAT, God Willing. Also if you are tight on money, pm me regarding chads videos. maybe i can help you. if you catch my drift.

as far as studying goes im watching chads videos now for general chem and finishing up the bio workshops on kaplan. Also reviewing all my handwritten notes everyday. Is there a study schedule i should use with kaplan, destroyer, cdp, cliffsap, and chads?

scroll up a few look at dentalwork's signature put together a study program. you'll obviously have to tweak it since you only have a month, but i think it will really help you! it helped me outline what i need to do when even though i didn't have all the same resources. (i haven't taken it yet, but mine is in a little over a month eek!)
