Right now, chances for MD look to be about 36%: https://www.aamc.org/download/157450/data/table24-mcatgpagridall2008-10.pdf.pdf

But that statistic would include those with high BCPMs, those with a steep upward grade trend after a bad freshman year or semester, or those who completed an SMP.

Do practice MCATs give you hope that you might score significantly higher? Will you be taking upper-level Bio classes over the next year that you can update schools about if you get As?

I wasn't planning it since I am working full time as a research assistant. I can definitely look into it. Would it help significantly?

I think that less than a 36% chance is way too low. Unless all your poor grades were freshman year, ideally, you'd plan on a full-time postbac year of upper-level science for a total of 30 semester hours to show adcomms you have what it takes to survive the science-intense environment of med school. Or plan to include a number of DO schools on your application list.
