basically:
1 sem left before application cycle
I feel like I am an incredibly basic premed pls help
Activities and GPA
-120 clinical volunteering hours as a lead EMT for school events and hospital volunteer. Projected 200 hours
-270ish nonclinical as a counselor for children whose parents have cancer and president of student run soup kitchen. Projected 600 hours.
-150 hours research. I was in a lab last year but I quit because the research didn't interest me and the atmosphere was suffocating and was incredibly toxic. This year I'm in a much nicer lab but things are going a lot slower since we're just starting out on a new project. Projected maybe 200 hours?
-Worked as a TA this year, lotta really character building experiences from that
-gonna do a ****ton of shadowing this break, my location has literally no doctors that let you shadow, and i have no familial connections so kinda freaaking out about that but will get that figured out. Wanna try and fit in 40-50 hours before apps? hopefully more if i can
taking mcat next sem, projected score 515-520
-gpa should be 3.6-3.7ish

What are some ways i can improve (other than shadowing)?
Also, what are your tips for getting shadowing in an area where there's literally none?
Thanks!

You good, finish the semester strong, destroy the MCAT, prestige primary’s, secondary’s and/or personal statement.

Then go enjoy a nice hard earned ....

wow i must be truly blessed to have *the* patrick star tell me im good id like to thank my mom my dad my premed advisor.....

Get shadowing for sure, that’s essential. 50 hours should be fine, try to get 2 docs at least, including a family doc
