One stupid mistake...
Started by bionerd
I just realized that I made a tiny mistake on my application. I took some CC courses and the last one ended in 8/05, but on the application I wrote 8/06.
😱 Someone kill me now!! I'm sooo screwed!!!
Call AADSAS and try to clear it up. They should have your official transcripts on file right? So maybe if they see you're being honest they'll be able to help you out, or at least point you in the right direction.
Good luck!
i seriously doubt that will be a big deal... as stated... they have your official transcripts. I'm sure that kind of thing happens all the time. It's not like you were purposely lying about grades that you received or something. It's 1 number off. I think adcoms will be smart enough to figure it out
don't sweat it. when they check your transcripts, they'll fix it. no worries. 🙂

Did you do this mistake in AADSAS application or secondary application?
Thanks for all your encouraging word! Well, the mistake was on AADSAS, not the secondary. They mailed out my application by the time I found out, you see...so I can't really call them up anymore. Oh wellz, everything happens for a reason right?
hey, on my aadsas I made a similar mistake. I've been going to college since I was 8 according to my transcripts...1987 and 1997 are just so similar.
don't stress, even if they don't correct it, it's no big deal
And did you get accepted to dental schools nonetheless?
You're going into a profession where a keen eye for detail is a must. I think this is a poor showing on your part, and I believe it's a sign for bad things to come in your future as a dentist. Can someone say malpractice?
Just kidding. I don't think it matters. Schools prolly glaze over all our apps anyways.

First of all, AADSAS should have checked it with your transcript when they were doing calculations within 6-8 weeks.
Second, on my AADSAS application, it says "Printout Mailed on " this date and second lines it says "Revisions Mailed on" some time after. So I think if you let them know they may correct it and send it again.
I believe AADSAS are fare enough to help you out. Just let them know as soon as you can.
