If I have the option of scheduling an interview at a school either during the first week of October or a week later. Does it make any difference of all (in terms of my chances of getting accepted) if I want to schedule the later date?

Thanks for any input!

very slightly if anything. acceptance for most schools is rolling, so a few spots might be taken up the week before your interview. but nothing much. why on the other hand, why not be proactive?

Well it gives me more time for preparing/traveling plans/hotel booking, etc. I'll put it this way: it would be more convenient if I had an extra week, but it's not completely necessary.

Since it's only October, I highly doubt it would make any difference, even at schools with rolling admissions.

Remember, no one will have even been accepted by the time you interview (except maybe some EDs).
