Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences with taking biochemistry online? I did some research and found Oregon State, University of Florida and Colorado State have online options. The class obviously has to have organic chemistry as prerequisite.

I took biochemistry in undergrad but I am now realizing there is a huge issue with it. When I applied this current cycle, I was under the impression my biochemistry did have organic chemistry as a prerequisite. I remember it being stated in the syllabus. But I was recently rejected from a DVM program because they said my biochemistry class did not have organic chemistry as a prerequisite. I contacted the professor who taught my biochemistry class and they claim that organic chemistry is a prereq. I got a copy of the syllabus from my professor and its stated on there that organic chemistry was a prereq. However, I checked the course catalog for my university, and the biochemistry class I took does not have organic chemistry listed a prerequisite. According to my professor, this is a course catalog error and she is going to get it fixed. I don't really know what to do in this situation so I am heavily considering retaking biochemistry.

Dr Benjamin at UC Berkeley extension online teaches MCellBi 115A, which was approved by the schools I talked to and I really, really love him- he’s an excellent instructor, knows his stuff, and loves teaching.

University of Arizona- Miesfeld. Challenging but very well structured

Oh my lawd whatever you do don't do biochem at ASU online that class is a mess with the current prof but it does have an insane curve because of it

I took mine through Oregon state and loved it. It is a quarter system though so just check with the schools you want to apply to to see if you need one or two quarters to meet their requirements
