I was thinking of taking an online ecology class at my university along with my normal schedule. Any horror stories about online classes out there?

I took a one month long history course over the summer that was incredibly easy while working. It wouldve been easy even with a full course load. You would probably get more information by checking ratemyprofessor to see how demanding their online courses are though.

I didn't enjoy the online pharm class I took. You really had no clue what would be on the test, the instructor gave us general sheet that stated what to know but it didn't help much. I don't think I'll take anymore online classes from here on out.

I took online Sociology, and I'm in online Philosophy right now.......hardest part is staying current with the work and not procrastinating.

Had to help my girlfriend with online stats, and an online college algebra class. It was miserable, and weird on a computer. Ecology should cake

I absolutely adore online classes. I feel like I don't learn anything sitting through lectures, so being able to learn the material on my own schedule and spend more time on the areas that I need to spend more time on (versus where the teacher thinks most of the class needs to spend time) is perfect for me. Though if you aren't excellent at getting motivated on your own, online courses are not for you.

Same here. I take everything I can online. I prefer working at my own pace and it saves a ton of gas.

One thing about my online class, I had to go to some random building to take my exams on a computer--didn't really enjoy that.
