Online Classes through Accredited Institutions

I searched for this topic but did not see anything concrete. Does anyone have any insight on whether schools accept pre-reqs courses through a online class. In particular English classes, reason being is that I was in a classroom based class but switched to a online equivalent for practical purposes. The classes are on my ACCOMAS and were sent to the schools when I was taking just the classroom classes but I think it may look exactly the same with the online class now. Thanks for the help.

Is the English course listed as 'online' on your transcript? If not, then nobody would ever know and it's not a big deal.

Regardless, most english/humanities classes are fine to be taken online anyway. Science, on the other hand, is obviously strongly preferred to be taken in person.

Just emailed LECOM about it and they said taking online classes are fine to do. My case may be different though since I am already accepted to the school and just need to finish these classes.

I haven't applied yet. Will apply next summer. My premed advisor doesn't think that it will be too big of a deal.

Where did you take it

I took it from the Community College of Denver online. Shows up as 5 credits on my transcript since it included an online lab. <-- EDIT: Actually I was wrong... just looked at my transcript again recently and it shows up as both a lab and the lecture course.

This is the most important thing when it comes to online classes. As long as it isn't listed as "Online" on the transcript, you're fine. No secondary that I've come across will ask "Was this class taken online?" and I doubt during your interview, they will say "Hey, did you take gen chem 1 online?"

Anyways, as said it shouldn't be an issue.
