Hello,

From the forums, it appears that online classes are acceptable to replace old grades.

1. Is there a limit on how many courses we can retake (Could I retake my entire core science classes?) to improve our GPA?
2. I am concerned that some online classes may not appear to count to replace our grades as the course may seem rudimentary... What can I do to make sure that my retakes are valid?
As an example, would " http://online.une.edu/science-prerequisites/online-medical-biology-i/ " be an acceptable source of online classes?
3. How questionable would my application for D.O schools be if I had credits for my sGPA coming in from my undergraduate university, online classes, and a CC for different subjects (ie: Physics, Chem, Bio) ?

Thank you.

1) there's no limit, but I wouldn't take your entire core, simply bc med school is not online. You need to relearn how to thrive in the non-virtual academic environment. Also, some schools may not accept online credits for these classes. Do you HW on this
2) I'm not sure I understand the question. I can say this- make sure the course description of the retake class matches/is similar to the original per AACOMAS retake rules. Do HW on this as well. There is a thread for online UNE classes where I'm sure you can find some help.
3) a lot of DO applicants take a mesh of CC, university, and online classes to improve grades. I'll leave the questionably up to @Goro, if there even is any- he can speak more to the core pre reqs and if there is a preference on how they should be taken.

My school accepts online coursework as long as it comes from an accredited university.

We consider classroom work to be more serious though.

I replaced my UG chemistry class with UNE chemistry. Worked fine and wasn't an issue.

Wait... I took a 2 online classes and there is no indication that they are online. I'm looking at my transcript right now.

Does the school you go to actually put "online" or something on there? I know most transcripts dont.
