Hi everyone. I have been accepted to a DPT program but due to the fact that I went to a school with quarter system as opposed to semester system, I am short less than 1 credit in psychology and statistics. I was told that I could take one statistical psychology class to cover this.

I looked online and there are two schools that are offering it: University of Washington for $1145 and University of Utah for $745.

I think $700-1100 is way to much for one class. Does anyone know of a school that offers this class for cheaper. I do not really have a lot of money but I guess I will have to spend it if nobody has any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

what about a community college? It wouldn't be online but it would be local and probably a lot cheaper.

a community college is definitely a better idea. I don't know where you are from, but the community college near me offers lots of online classes at a little under $500 for 3 hours and $600 for 4 hours.

If "your" community college offers it, you may be able to get it cheaper, $330-400. Aside from that though, $745 sounds pretty typical for a community college. I am paying $700 for a 3 credit online community college course right now. Honestly, the only way I've seen to get college credits for cheaper is to be on staff somewhere, which usually isn't an option.

Thanks for the reply...but I'm looking specifically for online classes. Would be way easier for my work schedule and I am going to be traveling fairly often.

Try the community colleges. Sometimes they offer classes online.

Just like everyone else said, try a community college. I had to take a Medical Terminology class before the start of my DPT program, and I found a community college in my state that offered it online and I registered for it. I didn't have to step on the campus at all.
