So there are some phy sci courses I want to take at UCLA Extension that are online... is it not a good idea to take online courses or does it not matter...
 
As long as they are not pre-recs they are fine. Don't let it replace normal in class course if you can help it. Online classes are no substitute for the in class type and medical school know this so online classes should only supplement your undergrad education. Don't over do it with the online stuff.

Also I recomend you do a search on this as this is frequently asked and you may find past inquiries on the subject helpful.
