University of New England offers some upper division online science classes. I would like to take both ochem classes with lab through their distance Ed program. I know some dental programs frown on online classes, but I also believe many accept them. Anyone have any insight to this issue?

University of New England offers some upper division online science classes. I would like to take both ochem classes with lab through their distance Ed program. I know some dental programs frown on online classes, but I also believe many accept them. Anyone have any insight to this issue?

Don't do it. I took two semesters of orgo there and almost all of the schools I've applied to are making me retake it. I only took them because I was active duty air force and deploying, so it was my only option. I checked with all the schools before signing up for the class, and they said they weren't sure but thought they'd allow it given my circumstances; when it came time to apply, they changed their minds and said no. It was a huge waste of time and money.

The only school I applied to that is allowing it is UNLV. The schools that said no were: UCLA, Tufts, USC, UoP, ASDOH, Baylor, Houston, and San Antonio. All of these schools said they'd allow distance learning for biochem, but no classes involving a lab.
