Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if there was some special masters programs in biomedical sciences that are delivered online? My research, primarily on the AAMC post-bacc. database, didn't lead to any that have online options.

Thanks for any relevant input.

That's what I did but google displays a lot of results that are not related to medical schools like biomedical engineering programs and even MBA rather than MBS. Thanks.

University of Northern Colorado has an online one MBS

That seems like a good program at a 'mid-size' school. They got solid outcomes but require standardized test scores. I would prefer one that can prepare me for the MCAT. Thanks.

Generally online SMP/MS/Post Bacc classes are not considered at a lot of medical schools. Some schools don’t even accept online pre reqs. Make sure you know that before proceeding

That is what the consensus was from the handful of medical schools that I contacted. In all honesty, there is no formal/informal program at any of the local schools in our state (NM). Without relocating not sure how I can get some boost as a non-trad. as my last science classes were a few years back. Thank you.

Informal programs just means taking classes at a 4 year uni or a CC

Yeah. I kinda think of that as DIY as compared to "informal" programs where it might be a little more structured. And then there are some that offer graduate degrees. Our local schools are great to setup a personal DIY schedule but I prefer a little more structured format. Thank you for your continued constructive feedback.

As far as "structure goes", what are you looking for?

I teach at a community college that is small so we have a lot of flexibility compared to other larger institutions.

Hello there,
Regarding the structure part it might seem like a lot but I am currently working and was looking for something that would be flexible preferably with an online option. It would be great if it were to be associated/linked to some professional/medical programs with a solid track record...
Thank You.

The online option is very helpful to those who have a busy schedule. I should mention that some online courses are not self-paced, in the sense that you have to do weekly work, while others are self-paced--you can do the course when it is convenient to you.
We are not linked or directly associated with a medical program. I want to make you aware that (in my experience and opinion) you cannot count on a program to give you a better chance of admission just because it is associated or linked to a medical/professional school.
