Are there any advanced biology classes online? I need to raise my GPA after I graduate, and I am not sure if I should get a Masters that would be useless after I get into medical school. Provide links and any comments whether you think it is a good idea or not

Stookie, Berkeley has online science classes but I must warn you that online classes are not viewed in the same regard as traditional in class classes. I live in a very rural area and it would be over an hour and a half drive to the local four year school, so I was strongly considering online classes. I asked the question to Judy Levine, the past head of admissions of NYMC, and this is how she answered: "Stay away from online classes. They aren't given much credibility at all. They're fine for personal interest courses, but not for science classes meant to improve your GPA." So it really would be better if you can attend classes at a four year school. If you cant make it to a four year school, then try a community college next. However, community colleges are meant to be the first two years of ones education and therefore generally dont have the upper level science classes one would want to help prove that you can handle the rigors of academic work. Hope this helps a little. And if you are still interested in online classes, here is the link to Berkeley's program: http://learn.berkeley.edu/
