I plan on applying to medical school next cycle (summer of 2021) and taking my MCAT at some time before then. I have yet to take physics but I received 1-on-1 tutoring for MCAT physics to get a strong understanding of the content. I have recently learned that it is a prerequisite for most schools to complete a full course, however. I am planning to take it before the MCAT but I am working full-time as a Science and English teacher in the meantime. Is an online course acceptable to medical schools? Does the course require a lab for it to be considered a complete course? Thank you so much for your time!

I don't think you'll really have a choice, since almost all schools are going to be offering classes online until this pandemic is over. Just take a year of physics at a 4-year institution, which will most likely be online.

Thank you so much for your reply. Does it matter what type of 4-year institution? Should I aim for prestigious programs/schools?

It does not matter. I'd try to keep it a local university if possible.
