Only one interview so far

K, so I applied kinda late and have only gotten one interview, but haven't gotten rejected by 17 of the schools I applied to. What do you guys think are my chances of getting interviews at this point in time?

When were you complete?

Did you apply to a broad range of schools? Is this your first time reapplying? Did you apply to your state's schools?

I finished applying at the end of August and most of my applications were complete in Sept/ Oct. Some of them took longer cuz of errors, like not getting my letters of rec. I did apply to state schools. I'm from Cali, but I also applied to the SUNYs and Ohio State, etc. And yeah I did apply to a wide range of schools. This is my second time reapplying, and my gpa went down senior year, so I applied to many schools with stats lower than mine:

It's possible, but I'd check the Pre-Allo forum for an idea of when those schools were offering/scheduling interviews. It seems a little late to still be waiting for interviews from all 17 schools.

Your GPA is almost a full SD below the mean, and your MCAT is right at the mean - so that could be the problem, especially if none of your ECs make you stick out.

If it doesn't work out, you may need to spend another year taking a bunch of classes to improve your overall, and/or apply to DO schools as well.

A 32 is at the mean? I mean maybe on sdn, but it's like the 85th precentile by aamc's charts. If you look at 2007 data 25 is the mean.

The mean raw score of every MCAT is set to a 24-25 (8s). That's is the way they are scored.

32 may be the mean for matriculants.

I'm 3.55, BCMP 3.45, MCAT 32S....

I'm also waiting on ass load of schools and i agree its getting hella late.
