Yes, VCU has had an unexpected opening due to one of our new residents resigning. He will finishing out the month, but we are currently accepting applications. The program requests the following documents for those interested:
1. 3 letters of recommendation, preferably 1 from PM&R
2. Current CV
3. Deans letter
4. Med School transcripts
5. USMLE/COMPLEX transcropt
6. Current ECFMG (if applicable)
7. J-1 Visa (if applicable)
Additional information for IMGs
1. VCU accepts J-1 VIsas only
2. ECFMG certification is required before applying to the program
3. We require at least 1 year clinical experience in a US health care setting
4. Cut off date following medical school graduation (direct patient care) in 4 years
