December 2010--In order to provide one of our residents a requested, dedicated research experience, The Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU School of Medicine In is exploring the possibility of offering a fully accredited three year position for plastic surgery training to start in July 2011.

This is an “independent model” position therefore applicants must have satisfactorily completed a formal training program (and are board admissible or certified) in general surgery, neurological surgery, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, urology, or oral and maxillofacial surgery (the latter requiring two years of clinical general surgery training in addition to an M.D./D.D.S. or D.M.D.) by July 2011.

A New York State license will also be required to begin training.
