Does any one know which programs usually hava an unfilled spot on the scramble day?

The programs that don't fill change from year to year and reasons may vary from what I can gather.
yeah, Jonath00... you walk around with such confident remarks... though, are you a M-II like you stated in december, or an M-III like you stated in january? what is it? by the way, not a stupid question. also, offenSe, not offenCe... and stupidest is not a word. if people are willing to share, it'd be nice to know...

I think it's true he is kind of talking out of his a--. He advised me that I didn't have any shot in the scramble and I wound up getting a bunch of calls from PDs some from top 45-50 schools and it is true that in his first post he identified himself as a 2nd year. Of course there were alot more spots this year than last. I think some people can't really discuss anything unless they try to take on the mantra of an expert. Must be a personality disorder (j/k talking out my a-- here it could be some other psych prob).

I'm not exactly sure why I keep hearing/reading that there were "alot more spots this year than last"--
According to SF Match, in 2006 538 positions were available and 24 went unfilled.
According to NRMP, this year, there were 539 positions available and 19 went unfilled.

I had access to both 2006 and 2007 unmatched spot lists given to students for the scramble from my student affairs office. I asked to have a copy of the 2006 list several days prior to the scramble in anticipation of trying to scramble this year to get an idea what I would be looking at and how to interpret it. Seems like there were 6-7 programs last year I don't remember the exact count. The 2007 list had maybe 15 or 16? Again, didn't count and was in the haze of a very stressful situation. Also, there was greater name recognition factor on the 2007 list. The list included all specialties and primary care residency positions broken down alphabetically i.e. anesthe, emerg........neurol.
