Hey everybody. I was fortunate to match into ophthalmology in spite of a relatively low USMLE step 1 < 225. Subsequent steps were better with my step 3 score at the national average, but obviously nit crazy high! Residents at the program I’m meant to seem to be scoring about the national average on their OKAPs.

I’m feeling really jittery about the boards even though i havent taken a single okap yet. I know that the ophtho boards are somewhat more difficult than most other specialties based on the published pass rates. What scares me, is that I have always studied all out for my exams. I cannot help but hope that i really do have the raw intellect required to make it through these tests. Evidently some people thought so or else i would not have matched, and I know people have been in this situation before and succeeded. I definitely intend on working hard and not coasting for a second. Any thoughts?
