So I'm currently contemplating on whether I should go to an interview or not. I have been to 7 in October and I have an 8th in November. I think I'm being cheap and a little too confident that I feel the urge of canceling the 8th interview. I also don't want to take a day off work, pay for a plane ticket and cab fare. But of course I'm blessed to have these interviews and there's no garuntee I'll get accepted.

What do you all think?

You theoretically can get rejected from all of them. I would take the 8th one and increase your chances of an acceptance.

If you see yourself going to the school then go. 7 is a great number of interviews. If you don't even want to go there, how will you attend?

I kind of understand where you're coming from. I came very close to declining an interview because of that reason... but I ended up going to be safe.

I would skip it, unless its in your top four. Unless you have some major interview/social problems or something

Do not listen to people telling you to "skip it". They obviously want that interview lol. I know of someone that was in a similar position as you are in now with 8 interviews last cycle. He only got into one school.

I agree, go to the interview, you never know.

What?? Do you know why he only got one acceptance?

I would decline. You are probably a very strong applicant since you've had 7 pre December interviews. You will have multiple acceptances. 7 interviews is a lot of financial strain. If you don't see yourself going to the school, you should save your money and put it towards paying your deposit and/or Christmas gifts.

It just depends. I have declined 3 interviews because I've already interviewed at 8 and my top 5 schools. I know there is risk involved but I feel 8 is fine because I'm still in school so I really don't want to miss any more of my classes. It comes down to the vibe you got from the school, your financial stability, and whether or not you would like to attend that school over the others you've interviewed at. No doubt there's s big risk of being rejected at all the school, it just comes down to a personal choice.
