So i have been studying for DAT for 1.5 months now. Obviously, i think i only need 2 months to study. But oh man i was wrong, i spent those 1.5 months to study for g.chem and ochem (including practicing Kaplan subject tests and destroyer) and some PAT but i have not even touched on biology , math, rc, topscore and achiever

The kick is that i have writing classes this August through September 7. Yea, it is only one class but this class, from what i heard is that you need to put a lot of time to read and write 2 essays every weak.

This is the only class i have left for my undergrad degree, i can take this class at UCLA extension.

My test is on Sep. 1st :scared:. I feel that i really need more time to study for DAT just for DAT. So i am thinking that i should postpone this class until i finish DAT. I already filled the planned section on AADSAS that i will take this class. Do dental schools think i am idiot for cannot handling the pressure of studying for DAT and taking this class at the same time? Should i just invest my energy on DAT so i can do it well and take this class later?

My guts tell me that i should drop this class and take it in the Fall but you guys are always give good advice so please help!

When they look at your application they probably will not even worry about your class or take that into consideration, but they will look hard at your DAT scores. Therefore I would postpone the class and focus your time for the DAT.

It can be done. You'll have to dedicate X hours a day. Many people, including I, work 40 hrs/wk while studying for the DAT. I studied a month and did well with that schedule. It takes a lot of motivation and dedication, 7 days/wk. It'll help your reading out to say the least 🙂 .
