Hi guys,
2 questions.
I understand that in some situations multiple lenses can result in virtual inverted final images or real upright ones (which deviates from the typical virtual upright and real inverted with single lenses). What are the scenarios when these occur?
Also regarding multiple lenses, I'm having trouble with developing a way to quickly figure out what the final image will be like when the image from the first lens is to the RIGHT of the second lens.
For example, the EK1001 question 978 says that for a dual converging lens system, if image 1 is to the right of lens 2, the right of lens 2, the final image will be virtual and upright, but I'm just not seeing this from the thin lens formula.
Any help is tremendously appreciated.
