so i have to get some help here. i've been doing a lot of reading and am not sure how to proceed with my studying. i am on an elective right now, and will continue through the end of august ( i need to take CK before the end of august). i have a 2-hour commute every day, each way, which means i never have time to do UW Q's (damnit). but i'm on a train, so i can read. i have been reading secrets and a little FA. is this sufficient? if there are any other recommended approaches i am all ears . . .

Hey artic,

I took the exam today and thought FA was good, i read B&W also but i may be biased bc ive kept up with it during 3rd yr.. its good to use 2 sources since FA had a few weaker sections i thought..

Try Step Up to Medicine. It was my only source (following anything I used during 3rd year). No UW or Kaplan. Killed it.

wow, thats impressive. thanks for the help guys, i hope i can pull this off with just secrets and FA. damn, UW was a waste of money now that i won't be using it. i have 3 weeks left on my subscription if anyone wants it . . . PM me

the thing with questions is that it can help you piece together things that you wouldn't normally think of. Sometimes the repetitive nature of the questions of one specific topic can re-iterate what you thought you knew but keep getting wrong. I think that studying from just books is great and all but you also need some practice with questions for timing and for a change of pace.
