So im shadowing an optometrist, she is making it seem like she doesn't make anything like she talks about..im worried about how much monthly do optometrist make? seriously any help here. consider taxes..

According to a recent NYSOA study female ODs work 4 hours less a week than male ODs so the salary is probably only slightly lower. Also, beginning of a career salary will be lower.
