How are transcripts matched to the academic information you enter into the application? I see transcript request forums, but is it the applicant's job to reach out to our university or will the application service do that? I'm wondering if this is even a necessary step for applicants to worry about or is it more of an automatic thing. Thanks!

You have to reach out to your academic institution to request transcripts. Usually, you can submit the transcript request form so they can send it with your transcripts. Once they're received by OptomCAS, they'll be verified.

You can enter in every class and grade manually, or if you have the luxury, you can have OptomCAS do it for a fee. I'm sure that they compare what you've entered in with what's listed on your transcripts. I hope this answers your question.

Do you know who at your university you reach out to in order to request transcripts? It's summer, so I'm doubting many college employees are currently working.

I believe the registrar office is in charge of sending out transcripts. There might be a link on your school website where you can request your official transcripts to be sent to OptomCAS.

Thank you, I just emailed the registrar office with the appropriate attached transcript request form. How long should I expect it to take for transcripts to be sent in? (how long did it take for you)

for mine it took two weeks until optomcas received it but it still wasnt verified (they do that after you submit the application)
