Hi,

I wanted to know whether it was possible go to optometry school if you had a M.Ed for Vision Rehabilitation Therapy? Would this work in your favor?

I am a social work major and am planning on getting my masters in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy online. I will be in the USAF, and would like to go to Optometry School once I separate from the Air Force. This is a secure way that I can get some hands on experience in the field of vision.

Would the Masters degree replace all necessary prerequisites courses?

I am pretty sure the pre-req courses will need to be completed. They need to make sure you have a basic knowledge of certain subjects.

The pre-requisites can vary among the schools.

The masters in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy would be an added bonus, and it would probably be favorable on your application.
