This may be unimportant, but I was just curious as to whether all schools' white coats (white coats received on admission to the school) have writing on them of the school name, logo, or even your name? Just wanted to know how those are and if it differs from school to school.

I know a lot of them don't have your name on them not sure about the school logo and I believe some schools like suny and IU give out there white coats after 2 years of optometry school.

At Midwestern AZCOPT we just got our white coats during the first quarter. They have the school patch and we have a separate name tag. It was a pretty awesome experience!

SCO has White Coat Cereomony and Oath the Friday before classes begin.Patch on shoulder, name tag follows a few weeks later.

SCCO has the white coat ceremony during your first quarter, it has your first and last name and the school logo embroidered on it.

Nova has a white coat ceremony to welcome the new incoming class. The logo is on the side as well as their names.
