oral board results?

Anyone have any idea why it takes "2-3 months" to get the EM oral boards scored?

I've heard of other specialties that find out the next day. I would think all the scores are submitted by the end of the day.

I took the 11/10 oral exam, and according to the ABEM site, my current certification expires 12/31/20, so I must have passed. Yay!

Yeah, i noticed that too. But since we were never told that we could check online, I'm not gonna start counting my chickens until they've hatched. It would have been nice if ABEM just reported the results online. Hopefully, our results are in the mail!

Passed!!!! The ABEM web page expiration date indicates exam passage, this has been discussed several times on these boards, plus was mentioned during my oral board review course.

Board Certified baby! Congrats to all!

After eight years and three months, the final certification chapter is now complete. (the cherry on the EM Sundae....)

Only continuing education (EMCC) and a shorter recert exam to look forward to now. (and a fruitful career in Emergency Medicine....)
