Definitely agree. I felt like I missed around 3 per each session. Curious on how many we can get wrong/mismanage and still pass.

The results came back yesterday. This is typical ABO misinformation about when the results will be back (haha, they are ok except for this). Last year, the results came back past the 6-8 weeks that is mentioned in the website. Someone called and they said "in two weeks" but it came out 2 days later. This year, they said in writing after July 4th weekend but they released the results on July 1.
July 1 was also the deadline of their survey. I believe their survey is an attempt to convince candidates not to take courses. The ABO seems to hate oral board review courses but not written WQE review courses (like Wills, San Antonio, Illinois Eye Review, etc.). The University of Colorado discontinued their oral exam course; I wonder if after ABO pressure.
The statistics are not yet released but a lot of people passed. In 2025, there were plenty of online anguish about the exam. 445 candidates passed. This year, very few posts about anguish and 530 candidates passed. That is significantly higher and probably fewer people took it (In 2026, only recent graduates and foreign trained ophthalmologists can take the exam while in 2025, US graduates from more than 7 years ago were allowed to take it but are now banned). Maybe not an easier exam but a higher success rate.
Did they? Sad if so. That was the one I had a couple friends recommend, but I just did my Pemberton etc. I remember it being relatively cheap, maybe the faculty just didn’t want to burn weekend time, especially if they didn’t get enough incentive pay.
