Well, second time around. The first time I did not practice at all. That was a huge mistake. I got hung and I brought the rope. This time I practiced a lot with my partners. Hopefully it goes better. I guess it can't be worse.

Hi there,

I was in your shoes. Practice makes all the difference in passing this exam.
Just remain calm. Tell them what you would do in the OR and why. In these last few last few days before your exam make sure that you have a good handle on what to do if things get too fast, too slow, too low or too high. This can refer to hemodynamics, temperature , hgb, temperature,O2 sat CO2 and electrolytes.

If you can hang loose you will be fine.

Passing is much sweeter the second time around.🙂

I agree with what you stated re just answer with the stuff you know. I especially agree with your sentiment that passing the second time around is sweeter. I muffed writtens the first time and smashed them the second. It was sweet! With orals, I passed the first time. I thought I had failed to be honest. I must have just squeeked by. Well, the feeling was relief, but somehow the feeling of accomplishment just didn't compare to passing the written portion. Odd. The second time is sweeter--but I'm not complaining I missed that experience.

Wow! I feel like I failed. Now it's just down to waiting. I did get cut off more than a few times. I don't think I finished all the questions in either room. Some of my answers were too long. F#$&.
