Did I lie on my AMCAS?

I'm the second author for an abstract that was submitted to a national conference. I attended the conference with my PI where he gave the bulk of the presentation, but I was still there to answer questions and I discussed the work with people there also. Would I be counted as a presenter? I'm really nervous because I did say that I presented in my AMCAS and not sure if I should call schools and inform them if I'm not technically a presenter.

So, this is the exactly kind of thing that med school applicants worry about a lot (and I did too, I think it's just the nature of the process and the selection bias of being the kind of person who would want to apply to med schools), but given my limited understanding of the situation, I'd advise you not to worry about it. As long as you didn't say "I personally gave the talk", I think it is should be fine, and if I understand the situation correctly, you can just say that you were confused by the input options. That said, going forward it's best to be as transparent as possible, if only for your own mental health.

I did say "I presented this work at so and so conference".... I truly thought since I was there talking and answering questions it would still count, but now I'm not sure.

I do consider this misleading. But you're probably not going to get caught.

Still, I would advise you not to disclose the mistake. This is a relatively minor error and drawing attention to it has more likelihood of hurting you.

Okay thanks @Neuronix and @Electricity for your responses.

Assuming an adcom will count this as a lie.. Is this the sort of thing that will get me blacklisted from all medical schools? And what would prompt adcoms to investigate this?

No.

Interviews. It's unlikely but possible someone would check the conference proceedings to see if you presented. It's also possible that someone will ask you details about the talk, and be dissatisfied that you didn't actually give it. Probably best to play dumb if this happens.
