Might be better looking at the dental forums or dental residents forums. I'm sure any response here is just going to be hear-say. Armorshell is the king of omfs though, so you could try talking to him if he has time.

Hey guys, I was just wondering what post dental-oral surgery fellowship programs look for when looking at applicants?

It used to be class rank + part 1 scores + research + ECs + internships....

But since in 2012, all part 1 scores are turning pass/fail, there is a chance they will incorporate a new exam (maybe NBME) just for OMFS residencies....

Either way it goes, getting into OMFS (4 or 6 year program) is probably alot harder than getting into dental school as a pre-dental student.
