I'm still a high school student and I'm looking into pharmacy. Can someone explain EAP for me? I've already looked at their website but I'm still confused. Can you apply for this as a high school senior and if so, are there any prereqs you need to do? thanks!

That page pretty much sums it all up. Yes, you can apply as a high school senior, there is a GPA requirement, an ACT/SAT minimum, a few essays, references and an application to fill out. There will also be an interview. It is best to get on top of everything now even though the applications are not due until March 3rd.

The staff at OSU are very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for info not on the site, I recommend you send them an email, [email protected]. If you have any questions about the pharmacy program I would be happy to try and answer them but I do not know much about the EAP program.

I assume you go to OSU so do you know how many people get accepted into this program?

And this may sound dumb but being accepted into this program means that you are a shoe in for their college of pharmacy school, right?

I am not sure how many get accepted or how many apply but if you send the pharmacy program an email or give them a call they could tell you how many people apply on average and how many people they accept.

EAP means that you are excepted into the pharmacy program as long as you keep your GPA above a set point throughout your prereqs. I am not positive but I think you do 3 years of prereqs courses and then you start pharmacy school the 4th year. You would have to confirm with the college. It is good to email them or call and let them know you are interested so your name sticks, they are happy to answer questions.

Yes I am a pharm student at OSU.

You can actually get your prereqs done in 2 years.

Motivated student who got really lucky and ended up getting into anatomy lab and Ochem lab as a sophomore could get it all done in 2 years but it would be a hectic 2 years in my opinion.

10 high school seniors and another 10 college freshman usually get in every year.
