yeah i had experience with the gas thing with my rental car... the good thing is that i was aware of the law and didn't try to pump my own gas! that's good to hear about the apartment availability - i was worried that i'd have to get out there a month early to find something! i don't think i'd have a problem with the rain although i've never really lived anywhere that got a lot of rain... but to me, rain all winter is way better than walking to class when it's 10 below! 🙁

How about renting a house in Corvallis? I am bringing along a husband and two very large dogs!

tcid, i have another question that maybe you can answer. do you know if the pharmacy students do regular OSU activities like undergrads, or are they kinda segregated and do their own thing? someone had mentioned this about another school on a different post and that got me thinking...

I haven't spent much time looking at rent prices for a house, but from just a quick survey, they seem to vary a lot more than apartments. I dug up some links below that should be useful for anyone looking to rent in Corvallis.

As far as pharmacy student activities, I don't know for sure one way or the other, but I can say that I was told during my interview that many pharmacy students tend to do a lot of things together as a group, like take dance classes, etc. A few hundred pharmacy students really can't have that much of a presence on a campus with almost 20,000 students, so I'm guessing that those who are involved would probably be doing pharmacy-related activities. The only thing I can think of outside the usual realm of pharmacy is that there is a presence in the graduate student senate.
