Hi All...

I have a problem..when I look into my organic chemistry classes (It's called CHEM 301, 303 and 304 in my school)..I found that CHEM 301 (the 1st part of the Organic sequence) is a combination of lab and lecture as oppose to CHEM 303 (3 credits, 2nd part of OC) and 304 (1 credit, Lab) as two separate courses..you know what I am saying?..

I am just worried that when I apply, Med School is going to look at the two courses and say that I only have one semester of OC lab instead of one year...
I already asked school officials, they say they do it this way because lab hours in OC 1 is less than 2nd part, so they just combine the lab and the lecture to save human resources...(WTF...)
Now I am worried...should I? what do you think???

relax. on AMCAS (and on most secondaries) you can mark courses as "lecture," "lab," or "lecture+lab."

You should be fine. Here's what you do.

One AMCAS, they ask that every course that has a lab with it you name "Course X and Lab" (they also have a checkbox for "lecture+lab"). Thus, for your first Organic semester, put in AMCAS "Organic Chemistry I and Lab". For the second semester, put "Organic Chemistry II" and then "Organic Chemistry II Lab" as separate entries, as you would expect. So you'd have:

Organic Chemistry I and Lab
Organic Chemistry II
Organic Chemistry II Lab

And you're good.
