I am taking Orgo 1 right now and my DAT is in January. I read on DAT boot camp that the only reactions you really need to know are Sn1, sn2, e1, and e2 which my professor covered during this semester. Is this true or do I need to learn more mechanisms on my own? And if so which ones?

Thank you I'd really appreciate good feedback.

No, you definitely need to know more than that, although you don't need to know the harder mechanisms in a lot of detail. Make sure you use Chad's videos to cover the Orgo 2 stuff. You'll be sorry if you don't. I definitely had some stuff from second semester.

Know the reactions from Chad's videos and as many from DAT Destroyer road maps as you can. Focus on SN2, E2, SN1, E1, alkene/alkyne, alcohols, carboxylic acids and the derivatives, and EAS reactions. It's a lot, but it can be done, you just need to practice

You need Orgo 2 for DAT. Try Odyssey, Organic chem as a second language 2, and ACS test prep booklet. They will help you. However, best thing to do is take orgo 2 before taking DAT
