Organic Chemistry at my university is 5 credits (including lab). Is that how it is at everyone elses universities? The CC near me has Organic Chem. as 4 credits.

don't worry about it every school is different. some are 4 others are 5, it makes no difference
mines is 5 too

ty, i was just wondering

The reason its 5 hours at a 4 yr uni is because the lab itself is separate and is considered 2 hours. At a CC its combined with the class and its 1 hr. I honestly hated taking that course at the Uni because they taught it so poorly.

my Orgo is 4 credits plus a separate Orgo Lab 2 credits. The lab has a lecture part and "lab" part. It also has a final exam. The 4 credit Lecture is constructed probably as most of your classes. Every school is different. But here is an advice, if in the future there shall be a problem with that 5 credit class make sure you save the syllabus. This way if someone asks: "But you didn't take Organic Chem Lab" you have a handy proof that your course included LAB. Just a thought. This strategy was useful to me when transferring colleges, i just brought in my old syllabi and lost only 1 credit in the process.
🙂

the sequence at UW goes 4, 3, 3 credits. The labs are 3, 3. (Labs are only for second two quarters of series)

through aadsas, they will figure out the difference for quarter system.
basically whole year is 8 unit. 4 units per semester.
so 3 quarters per year
each course is 2.7 unit.
not 3 =(
